The time, day of week, and date display has been very helpful for my loved one with dementia. I can also lock the settings so he can't accidentally change them. It is just easy for me to adapt to my loved one's needs. The box doesn't say "for dementia patients," thank goodness. You can set the hours to be dimmed and have multiple alarms that change daily. If your loved one prefers black on white text rather than white on black, the push of a button changes that.
